We’re nearly six years old! And I’m sad to tell you that on our sixth birthday, 1st May, Girls Heart Books will officially close down. It’s been a wonderful journey! But time marches on, and for Julie Sykes, who runs the site with me, and myself, time is the issue. We both have other projects we want to pursue, and Girls Heart Books, wonderful as it is, takes up quite a lot of time and planning.
On 1st May there’ll be a final goodbye post, and then the site will stay static until March 2018, when the domain name will expire. Before 1st May though, we will still have a brand new post every day from a fantastic author – and there will still be chances to win books in our monthly competitions! So don’t go anywhere!
To all our fans and supporters of the site over the years, THANK YOU. You are the reason this site was started: to give you a direct line to some of your favourite authors. And to all the amazing authors who have blogged for GHB, many hugs and kisses, because I have never, NEVER been short of volunteers to blog on the site, and you have all been WONDERFUL.
Finally, thank you to the marvellous Julie Sykes, who has kept the guest posts running for the past I-don’t-know-how-long and has been a faithful friend and sounding-board for all my GHB musings!
Keep reading – let’s make GHB go out with a bang, not a whimper!

I’m really sad to hear this and also feel so incredibly lucky to have been a guest blogger while I still could. Writing for Girlsheartbooks over the past couple of months has made me realise how incredibly hard you both must have worked to bring this together. Well done and good luck with your new projects.

Wow- this is definitely the end of an era! Been reading the posts and commenting on this website since it started, and (granted, I have’t been on here in a while BUTTT) I’m gonna miss it so much! Made so many friends through this, and it gave me the courage to start my own blog. Gonna miss yall so muchhh- thank you for the past 6 years. Good luck for your future projects!
